PARADICE SKATING ACADEMY

Welcome to the Paradice Skating Academy. We offer classes for all ages and levels. Our qualified instructors give you the edge you need to skate either at a recreational level or a competitive level. Our Skating Academy classes run for the length of the term and are offered all year round. In the Skating Academy, students will receive step-by-step instruction in a supportive and supervised environment, enabling them to enjoy a lifetime of fun and exercise.
Paradice Skating Academy term classes teach the foundations of ice skating and allow skaters to work toward goals and achievements in the ice sports. Our learn to skate classes provide opportunities for competition and performance through our Skating Academy competitions and end of year Ice Festival. LEARN TO SKATE CURRICULUM
Paradice Skating Academy follows the National Kiwi Skate curriculum. This is a New Zealand Programme that takes skaters through a series of badge levels from tiny tots and beginners up to a competitive level in any ice-skating sport such as figure skating, ice hockey and speed skating.

Helmets or Paradice approved safety headbands are mandatory for skaters in Skating Academy programme.
Helmets only are to be used for children aged 6 years and under.

Morning Coffee Club also receive a FREE Coffee after class (Not transferable)

Saturday ICE HOCKEY CLASSES 2025 (Avondale Only)
Players joining ice hockey lessons should have passed a minimum of Elementary (the second level) in our Skating Academy learn to skate curriculum. These classes are for ages 16 years and older.
EQUIPMENT
Paradice can supply all new Ice Hockey School participants with the required equipment to learn to play ice hockey.
Helmet, gloves, elbow pads, shin guards and sticks are supplied free of charge.
It is recommended that players start to buy their own gear while in the hockey school as a full set of their own equipment is required when registering for the ice hockey league / club teams.
