*Bi-monthly fees are due before the first day of bi-monthly. Payments received between the 1st to 5th day of the bi-monthly will incur a late fee of $30,
after the 5th day of bi-monthly passes are closed, no longer available.
Before getting on the ice all skaters must;
- Write their name on attendance list kept at the front desk on the afternoon figure sessions for the morning figure sessions, see Bronwyn at Avondale and Bridget or Annie at Botany in the café to record you’re attendance, this is not only for skaters with concession cards but also for skaters on bi-monthly. Not only is this to ensure everyone has paid but also for health and safety in-case there is an emergency evacuation.
- Admission fees must be paid or concession card must be marked off by a staff member before getting on the ice.
No pay = No skate
If skaters miss their lesson they will still be required to pay their coach for the lesson. It is the skaters/parents responsibility to ensure all payments are paid in advance of skating as per public session admissions. Concession and Bi-monthly pass is a reduced price as customer is paying in advance. If they have not paid in advance of skating they lose that discount and pay full price $17 per admission.
Patching holes in ice at the end of your session, please patch holes with snow to ensure safety for the next skaters using the ice. Snow bucket is kept near the Zamboni, please pack hole with snow and smooth over either with a puck or spade.
Collisions on the ice, as much as skaters try to avoid a collision sometimes this will happen unintentionally or there may be near misses, if this occurs a quick apology from both skaters will keep harmony on our sessions.
Cancellation of Lessons
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, coaches require 24hrs cancellation notice by phoning the Coach directly. If the coach is not informed of a cancellation, scheduled lessons will be charged for.
All skaters should be on the ice when the session starts
- So the same skaters are not always getting the first lesson
- The skaters make maximum use of the ice time available
All skaters need to arrive at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the session to warm up. This is to reduce the risk of injury and have a more productive training session.
Private instruction is available for skaters who have an equivalent level as to the Skate School Novice 1. Skaters are encouraged to attend the skate school until they have completed or are of equivalent standard to all of Skate School badge levels up to FreeStyle, the twelfth badge level. Private lessons are to be arranged through the arena admistration offices.
Please note: The Skate School practice sessions are suitable for Skate School beginners up to elementary level figure skaters.
Skaters attending a figure skating session MUST have their membership card scanned at the arena office BEFORE stepping on the ice.
NB: Schedule is during a normal school week only, during school holidays or on Public Holidays, times will vary.
