SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PARADICE

Q. Who can come to the new ICE JAM session?

A. This is more of a family session and is basically for families with children 12 years old and younger. Teenagers and adults are welcome to come to the following session which is from 8.25 until 10.30pm.

Q. Who can use the silver skating frames?
A. The silver frames are STRICTLY for children 6 years old and under. No exceptions will be made, unless special needs are involved. These cost $5 to hire for the session. WE DO NOT RESERVE FRAMES  SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK - IT IS STRICTLY FIRST COME FIRST SERVED FOR ANY SESSION.

Q. Can we go skating at any time?
A. We have specific times for public skating. Please check our website, phone system or brochures for session times.

Q. Can we hire skates?
A. Yes. We also have ‘platinum’ skate hire for an extra $4, which have better support and superior comfort. 

Q. How long before a session should we turn up?
A. Around 5 minutes before the session is a good time to arrive as we don’t actually open the doors until the specified start time of the session.

Q. Do spectators pay?
A. Parent or guardian spectators are free of charge. Anyone else must pay to enter.

Q. How cold is it inside?
A. The temperature varies depending on the weather outside. It is approximately 10 degrees inside. Warm clothing is essential. Also don’t forget to bring your socks!

Q. Will my bag be safe?
A. We strongly advise using the lockers and NOT leaving bags, wallets, mobile phones lying around on seats. We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen items. We have lockers available for $2. These will fit a medium size bag and some shoes.

Q. How old do children have to be to skate?
A. We advise that children be 3 years and over to come skating.

 Q. Can I reserve a silver frame?
A. We DO NOT reserve the frames. They are given out on a first come first served basis. OSH regulations allow us to have these frames, but for safety reasons, we can only have a small number on the ice at one time.

Q. Can I bring my own food and beverages?
A. No. We have a snack bar and a café on site, so we DO NOT allow any other food or drink to be brought on to the premises.

Q. Do you give group discounts?
A. Yes, we give discounts for groups of 15 or more people. Please check the group bookings page for prices.
